The Top Wines of the Abruzzi Region

What are Abruzzi's best wines?...
Abruzzi is a region of central Italy said by some to have Italy's best food. Its most popular grape variety is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, not to be confused with the Tuscan Vino Nobile di Montepulciano based on the usually better Sangiovese grape. Wines from the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grape are often pleasant but not much more.
