Trentino-Alto Adige is a neighbor of Veneto in northeastern Italy with no DOCG wines. The region contains eight DOC wines, one of which has six subzones, and several IGT wines. When we took our tour of Italian wines described in our series I Love Italian Wine and Food, for this region we tasted a pretty good Pinot Noir that wasn't even classified as a DOC wine.
